PROJECT ENGINEER

 JOB SUMMARY

The project engineer is responsible for the timely review and submission of all shop drawings, samples, brochures, and for coordinating and expediting the flow of information, plans, and specifications to the architect, field construction force, subcontractors, and suppliers. The project engineer is to assist in coordinating and processing the project schedule and developing and monitoring the project cost control system including budget, cash flow, and changes. Our Project Engineers report directly to the Project Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Project Manager in all phases of the project
  • Provide support to the Project Superintendent
  • Obtain, review, and log all submittals and closeout documentation
  • Maintain updated set of plans and specifications
  • Distribute project documentation to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Support a safe environment on the jobsite
  • Participate in team meetings and keep minutes as required
  • Help resolve problems as they arise

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
  • General understanding of trades
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • High integrity and ethics
  • Prior experience as a Project Engineer preferred
